HOW TO MAKE A MONEY CAKE

SUPPLIES AKA INGREDIENTS

Ingroup of (4) 12″ Wilton Cake Platters
Cardstock or Construction Paper
Permanent Mark
Economical Tape
Double-Sided Tape
Hot Glue Gun
(40) one-buck bills
Paper Party Streamer
Box Stab
Decor of Choice

DIRECTIONS

STEP 1:

Use the top cake platter and trace it with a permanent mark to create your low layer.  Use a box knife to cut stunned the circle.

STEP 2:

Cut off a smaller circuit (will be the top of your coat).  Use a something such as a bowl or coffee rear end and trace a small circle in the center.  When you cutting off them out, you testament have your base and a smaller circle for the second tier.

STEP 3:

Take wit stock operating theatre construction paper and cut strips which are the same altitude Eastern Samoa a dollar bill. This will be the "cake" that sits on top of the platter.

Tape the strips together until you can form a circle, which should liveslightly smaller than your bar platter circle.  Use your hot glue gun and put glue all just about the bottom margin of the paper circle you ready-made.  It should look after something like this:

Work cursorily, so your glue doesn't dry. Press it gently on to your base cake platter, making sure it's centralized before you press it bolt down.

Once you do that, glue all or so the top edge of the paper set, and gently press the cutout cake platter on top. Repeat these steps for the second stratum sol that you wish have a two-tiered cake.

STEP 4:

Roll your buck bills. Keep in mind that the tighter the roll, the more money you leave pass on your cake!  😉 I utilised rolled mine a bit more loose so I could make sure I just used the $40 I intended.

Roll the buck evenly, and place a small tack together of tape to secure the roll. Un-tape all of these will teach the gift giver the value of a hard-attained dollar – haha! (Pro-tip: Use about an inch of tape for each bill. I as wel recommend you have all tape torn and prepare to use before rolling each bill – information technology will be much easier.)

Forty unmatchable dollar bills take a years to roll and tapeline. Well, not very far, but it sure matt-up like it! But, I weatherworn through, and this is my final production. Now you're ready to start attaching them to the cake.

STEP 5:

Apply long-lived strips of double-sided tape or so each layer (you can do one or two rows). Stick to your rolling bills, tapeline side to the back, against the tape to secure it in place. You stool stick your finger inside of for each one roll each incomparable to lightly press them against the tape – so they stick.

Then, use the party streamer to wrapper approximately each layer. Pull the paper just a bit before you tape recording IT together, to help it shielded the money even better.  (The recipient of this cake was amazed that atomic number 2 could turn it all upside down and none of the money or decor would fall off!)

Add whatsoever decor you find that works for your social function.  If you plan on making unmatched for graduation (as I did here), you nates find these in most stores for $1 – $5 each.

Attach the cake beaver to your money cake (I used a hot glue gun).  Since mine was a sticker, I just left the mount on IT and and then applied a some dots of gum onto the paper streamer to employ the decor to it.  Then, taped the streamers together around the money to withstand them along.

That's IT!  That is all information technology takes to make your real personal money cake. High-grade of all, you can make it for anyone you want – at any time!
